Is SEO still as important as it was a few years ago or is SMO taking it’s place? What’s your opinion? #socialmedia
If I just look at my own site’s analytics, I get most of my traffic from google, and other search engines. Next highest is direct traffic and only then is it referring traffic (FB & Twitter)
On another note, how come I can only post to replies on this chatbox, and not on the top level?

The stats i’m interested in are… out of the world population that have internet access, how many of those are facebook users
Will dig around to check if there’s stats for that. Will be interesting to know and to monitor.
Well Alexa.com can give a decent look at that data your seeking. But you can already say that Facebook has a very good percent of World Users.

I want to pull RSS feeds from all my social media updates into one page on wordpress. Any suggestions on what I can use? Eg One page that will show my tweets, my chatterbox, my facebook updates etc
Create an account on Yahoo Pipes – http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/ and then add all your RSS feeds into one pipe to produce one RSS feed. Search on Google for displaying RSS on WordPress pages.

Even better…After you have created your Pipe RSS, register on http://feedburner.google.com/ and add that Pipe RSS to it so that you get an Feedburner RSS to use on your website. See who subscribes!

It is driving me nuts, only one feed is showing at a time… still working on it
This is my pipe, any idea what is wrong, you will see that some of the links go to page not found. Also when I click on ”get as RSS” option it gives me the wrong feed (just one displays)
Try FriendFeed as well.
Ok, I seem to have got it. Facebook feed does not work in pipes for some reason so I just removed it. I will have to find another way to bring in Facebook updates

Muti vs MyScoop? My stats are showing that I’m getting more visits from Muti but the bounces are high. As for MyScoop the bounce is very small so the quality of a MyScoop link is a lot better.
They are two different applications. Muti = social bookmarking. MyScoop = Blog aggregator.
Yes I understand they are different, I am thinking more on the quality of traffic. MyScoop seems to have much more targeted following. I predict myChatbox is going to bring the same quality traffic

Anyone using any micro blogging tools except Twitter? #micro-blog
yes… am using Google Buzz extensively. Am also on their Trusted Tester programme and can verify that they are taking this product very seriously

Isn’t that the issue then with micro blogging services. Critical mass is a tough competitor…
